Payment and Cancellation

Payment is due at the end of each session. Cash, EFTPOS and major credit cards are accepted.

 

If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, we kindly ask that you give us as much notice as possible and cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. Because the clinic is currently only open part time, appointment slots are in high demand and there are often waiting lists during certain times of the year. The more notice we have of your cancellation, the better chance we have of finding someone else to fill that space.

 

Medicare and Insurance

Dietitian counselling services are recognised by Medicare in specific circumstances. In order to be eligible for a rebate, a referral is required from a doctor (GP) under the Governments 'Enhanced Primary Care (EPC)' Program. A portion of up to 5 sessions can then be claimed through Medicare over a 1 year period.

 

Most private health funds provide coverage for dietitian services as part of their Extra's cover. The extent of coverage will vary depending on the heatlh fund and level of cover you have purchased. We recommend discussing your circumstances with your health fund directly to determine what level of coverage you qualify for.
